Wylie, Anastasia, and James, were all baptized and confirmed this week!
The sisters and James are all in the same ward, so it was neat to see
them all get baptized and confirmed, basically together! It was neat to
see how much family was supporting them, even more than the last few
weeks! This week was super busy, with lessons and everything else, but
here's the run down!
Monday, we did the normal thing. Worked out in the morning, then played some basketball and speedball, then went bowling!
Tuesday
was pretty boring for the most part, but we did have a lesson with the
Fowers! We just went over the baptismal interview questions with them,
since we taught them everything! Other than that, we just did some
finding all day.
Wednesday,
we had zone conference! It was truly awesome. The zone leaders trained
on something called ALA, which is when you ask an investigator an
inspired question, listen, and apply scripture to them. It's a great
tool to solidify them for baptism, and keeping commitments! President
Jaggi trained on the language of prayer, which was given in a talk by
Elder Oaks in general conference like 20 years ago. Explaining how we
can have more sincere prayers, when we truly respect and love our Father
in heaven, acknowledging that he is our creator. To do this, we do not
rush our prayers, and we use the appropriate language such as Thou,
Thee, and Thine. Terms we don't use in normal day life, because it's
sacred. Overall great conference!
Thursday,
we had service at salvation army for like 3 hours, and had to sort
through clothes that were donated. Later, we got Wylie and Anastasia
interviewed for their baptism! That night we visited a referral that we
got, for a Debra Ward. She is a non member who's married to a less
active member, that hasn't been in 45 years. He wants to get back to
church, and they want to get sealed in the temple, so we put her on date
to be baptized on the 24th of February!
Friday
wasn't too busy. Can't remember all that we did, other than we did
teach Amy again, and put her on date for the 17th! She's still kinda
fearful about it, but we are working with her. That night we played
basketball with like 30 foreign exchange students, that are all looking
to investigate the church, so we will see what happens there! :)
Saturday was the girls, and James, Baptism! You can see the pictures below :)
Sunday
was just a regular day. Great day to renew baptismal covenants! That's
all I have this week. I love you all, thank you for the support always!
