Transfers Already :(

Well... Another 6 weeks went by somehow. Elder Link will be going home for medical reasons this Wednesday, and it's super sad. Serving with someone for 3 months is a long time, and they really begin to be your brother. It's sad to see him go, but he served a good mission. I wouldn't take it back for anything. I'll be staying in Ogden West, and my new companion is Elder Osenga, and I don't know much about him. I'll let you know more next week! I'm a district leader again... So that's always fun. Can't get enough of it! This week wasn't too exciting, so I'll just give a run down.

We went to the temple and did baptisms and confirmations for Marty's deceased family members. I cannot explain the spirit that was felt as Marty was baptized for his own father, and grandfather's. It was truly amazing! He also was able to baptize his good friend Cindy Goulding, in place for his mother and grandmother's.

Elder Beckdol went AP (assistant to the president) this week, so Elder Fry, Link and I have been in a trio since then. I knew he would, because he's a stud!

David is still super sick. No update there... The 3 Rowe kids are now officially on days to be baptized, on the 7th of April, because that's when their dad gets in town.

I don't have much else this week. My bowling game is getting super good! Check the picture below. They spelled my name wrong, but oh well... Next week is my year mark so I'll write a long letter to make up for this one. Love you all!

Mission Splitting! +P-Day again??

So this email will be kind of short, but will have a lot of miracles that happened this week! I'm not sure how the days are going by so fast, so I haven't been writing down the things we've been doing... But here ya go!

In the beginning of the week I got to go back to my old area in Mound Fort on exchanges with Elder Millet! It was great. I even got to see my recent converts, Manuel and Maria! Even got a picture with them :)

In other news, our recent convert Charles, got married this week! Him and Tara were married and will be working on getting sealed in the temple in a year!

Our recent convert Mccoy, was given the Aaronic priesthood this week by Elder Link! Marty was also given the priesthood by his fellowship brother, Brother Goulding! We also got him his temple recommend, and will be going to do baptisms for the dead with him this week!

Today we got to go to the temple for our mission temple trip. It was amazing, and the spirit was strong. 3 months til the next one!

In some major news, that I may or may not have already announced... Our mission is combining/splitting! So, the Logan mission will be dissolved into the Ogden mission, and a Layton mission will be created! This will be happening July 1st, so I may end up in either mission, depending on transfers then!

That's all I got this week. The Lord is definitely hastening the work. David will hopefully be baptized this week, but probably not... He's super sick. Other than that, the work is slow!

Love you all, have a good week!

Missionary Judges

Hey everyone! It's been a a very interesting week here. As you can see from the title, the 4 of us missionaries in the stake were able to judge... You'll see! I'll summarize the week.

Monday we just did the regular thing, play some basketball, speedball, bowl, and hang out!

Tuesday, we had a recent convert lesson with the Fower girls. I just love going over there! They are seriously the best, and so converted, even at their young age!

Wednesday was kind of a blur. We had zone training from the zone leaders, which was super good. They trained in using our devices for good, and thinking outside the box with them. So, if I start actually posting and using Facebook effectively now, you'll know why!

Thursday, I went on exchanges with Elder Lewis! He's the only African American in the mission, and he's pretty good at basketball! We get along super well, so I was excited. In the morning we took Marty, our recent convert, to the family history center, so he can see his family history! We got his account all set up, but then it completely shut off and was down for a while, so we ended up just leaving. He took us out to lunch to get steaks! Later, we taught Amy at Brother Russell's house, and talked about the gospel of Jesus Christ, with focus on baptism!

Friday, we weekly planned with the zone leaders, and afterward went back to the family history center with Marty since it was down the day before. We were able to print out his parents and grandparents names, so we can take them to the temple and do baptisms for the dead next week! That night , one of the wards we cover had a chili cook off, and we got to be the judges! It was super fun, and we got to have lots of good chili! Afterward, we played basketball with some more foreign exchange students, and then taught them a lesson. We put 3 of them on date to be baptized!

Saturday and Sunday, I can't remember a thing, but it was good! I'll take more notes next week. Love you all, have a good week!

3 Amigos!

Wylie, Anastasia, and James, were all baptized and confirmed this week! The sisters and James are all in the same ward, so it was neat to see them all get baptized and confirmed, basically together! It was neat to see how much family was supporting them, even more than the last few weeks! This week was super busy, with lessons and everything else, but here's the run down!

Monday, we did the normal thing. Worked out in the morning, then played some basketball and speedball, then went bowling!

Tuesday was pretty boring for the most part, but we did have a lesson with the Fowers! We just went over the baptismal interview questions with them, since we taught them everything! Other than that, we just did some finding all day.

Wednesday, we had zone conference! It was truly awesome. The zone leaders trained on something called ALA, which is when you ask an investigator an inspired question, listen, and apply scripture to them. It's a great tool to solidify them for baptism, and keeping commitments! President Jaggi trained on the language of prayer, which was given in a talk by Elder Oaks in general conference like 20 years ago. Explaining how we can have more sincere prayers, when we truly respect and love our Father in heaven, acknowledging that he is our creator. To do this, we do not rush our prayers, and we use the appropriate language such as Thou, Thee, and Thine. Terms we don't use in normal day life, because it's sacred. Overall great conference!

Thursday, we had service at salvation army for like 3 hours, and had to sort through clothes that were donated. Later, we got Wylie and Anastasia interviewed for their baptism! That night we visited a referral that we got, for a Debra Ward. She is a non member who's married to a less active member, that hasn't been in 45 years. He wants to get back to church, and they want to get sealed in the temple, so we put her on date to be baptized on the 24th of February!

Friday wasn't too busy. Can't remember all that we did, other than we did teach Amy again, and put her on date for the 17th! She's still kinda fearful about it, but we are working with her. That night we played basketball with like 30 foreign exchange students, that are all looking to investigate the church, so we will see what happens there! :)

Saturday was the girls, and James, Baptism! You can see the pictures below :)

Sunday was just a regular day. Great day to renew baptismal covenants! That's all I have this week. I love you all, thank you for the support always!
