What a week! So far, so good, being out here in Clearfield. Loving my area, loving my companions, and loving my zone! Elder Emry is from Oregon, and Elder Fuller is from Arizona. They are both super studs! This week has consisted of figuring out the area, trying to solidify some of the investigators we have (with no luck), and finding new investigators! We have a car since we are zone leaders, but since our area is fairly small, we bike a lot....and it is HOT. Definitely don't like dry heat.

We are teaching this one girl, named Yosena, who's 13. Her mom is a recent convert, and she's investigating the church now. She's committed to a date, on the 16th of June. She came to church and is progressing! We are also teaching a 10 year old kid named Choen, who really wants to be baptized. His mom is all for it, but his dad is anti. So, this will be tricky!

So, the Talbot kids, Cameron and Tyson from my first area, got baptized! It was a long time coming, but here's a pic!

5 more weeks left until President Jaggi goes home, and until the mission splits. If all goes as planned, I'll be in the Layton mission with President Call. I'm super excited, because he seems like a cool guy. Elder Fuller and I will probably stay together for a bit, while Elder Emry might leave at the end of this transfer, since he would have been here 6 months. Either way, I'm excited to see all the change that's going to happen! I'll lose a lot of friends that will stay in they Ogden Mission, but I'll be able to email them, so that's what's up!

I love this work, and I love my Savior! He leads and guides this church, and invites everyone everywhere to partake of the joy it provides. Love you all and have a good week!

CLEARFIELD NORTH BABY!

What an eventful last 2 weeks! So, we got transfer calls last night, and Elder Beckdol called me, and told me I'm going to Clearfield North to be a zone leader! It's a super good area that I've heard a lot about. I'll be in a trio with Elder Emry and Elder Fuller. I know they are studs, but that's about it! I'll update you more on them next week.

So, Debra and Asher were both baptized! The baptisms went great. Debra asked me to baptize her, so I was honored! Check out the pictures below!

Some other things that happened this week... We were able to go to family home evening at President Jaggis house. We brought Tristan, and he really liked it. President Jaggi promised him, if he read the Book of Mormon every day, that all of he questions would be answered. He's been reading non-stop now... So we will see what happens!

We also played basketball with Tristan at the stake center. We brought the Brickey's sons, Tyler, Spencer, and Trey. Michael didn't come because he was at a friendsb but it's all good, we had a good time!

We had temple day this week. We got to go do endowments as a mission. We also taught Whitney a few times, and she's solid for June 2nd. I'm leaving the area of course, but I'll come back to her baptism!

Skyping home was fun as well. Sorry I didn't send out an update, but Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers out there!

Mission 5k

So we had our mission 5k today, so it used up so much of our time, and I still have to type this out... So this may be very short and sweet! Not too many things happened unfortunately, but here are the highlights.

Debra got interviewed for her baptism and passed! We filled out the program, and we are basically all set to go on the 19th of May! She asked me to baptize her, so it's super exciting!

Tristan finally made it out to church, which was a long time coming! He stayed all 3 hours, and loved it. He said he will continue to come! We plan of getting him ready for the 19th as well.

I went on exchanges with Elder Olson, our district leader, and we got to stay in my area. We did a lot of finding, and we found a ton of new investigators! We not only found 2 super solid Spanish investigators for them, but found 2 solid English investigators for us. Daje and Sierra! They aren't related, but they know each other, and are good friends, so we will see what happens of it!

Baptism + More

So this week was pretty good! So, a while ago when I was still with Elder Link, we were trying to teach this girl named Allie, who moved to our area from Riverdale. She was on date to be baptized, but moving to a new area put a hold on things for her. Anyway, she messaged us last week, and said she was ready to work towards it again, and Saturday she was baptized! It was great, and Elder Osenga and I got to do the 4 minute restoration during the break. She had a lot of non-member family there as well, so hopefully good things come to her family from her example!

We had an awesome lesson with Debra. We kind of had a heart to heart with her, and talked a lot about her baptism. She did say she still wants to do it, and is working to be baptized on May 19th! She's coming along super well.

We also had an amazing lesson with Tristan. He's soaking in everything we tell him, and he loves the Book of Mormon. He still has some things to work on, but he's committed!

This week was so hot, Elder Osenga and I, got super sunburned. It's strange how Utah can go from winter to summer, and back to winter in one day. Kind of annoying actually! But we are still pushing along.
