4 weeks to baptize 4?

Hey everyone! This week was a good one! I'm not too sure how it's pday again, but time is flying by and I don't have that much time left. It seems like everyone wants me home, including people here, because they keep counting down the days 😂 so I have exactly 1 month left. It's going to be a good month though!

White washing South Weber has been super fun. Aubrey and Kaitlyn are getting baptized this Saturday! It's going to be great. We had an awesome lesson with them this week and it was very spiritual. Kaitlyn told her mom she was getting baptized this week and apparently it didn't go over well. It was hard for her, but she's still going through with her decision to be baptized, as well with her daughter Aubrey. I will let you know how it goes!

We haven't had much contact with Trevor this week, but he is still on date for 20th of March. We also had an awesome weekend with Justin! We went to his basketball game this week and got to watch him play! He's super good and had 13 of the 50 points. After the game we went to the church and had a lesson on the plan of salvation. He loved it so much, and we committed him to be baptized on March 23rd! The thing about it that's most exciting is that's my last weekend! I can't think of a better way to finish!

I'm running out of time but I love you guys! Talk to you next week!

Emily's Baptism!

Hey everyone! Emily got baptized and it went great! I'm running out of time, but this week was super good. We've been working South Weber really hard and have been trying to meet all the leadership here. We've found quite a few people to teach and have 3 people on Date for baptism! Aubrey and Kaitlyn are getting baptized in 2 weeks, and then a guy named Trevor was just put on date for March 20th. We also have a few more coming up, and a guy moving into our area who wants to be taught. Good things are happening!

I'll have a lot more to talk about next week. The announcement is kind of cool I guess. We will see what happens, 5 more weeks! Love you all!

Oh yeah, and our landlord has a dog named Otis and he hangs out with us 😂

ONE. FINAL. TRANSFER.

Hey everyone!!

So this week is transfers, and I'm officially entering the last transfer of my mission. Just when you think nothing will change your last 6 weeks, BAM curveball. Our area is changing! We were covering the North and Northridge stakes, but now we will be covering the South Weber and the Northridge stakes! I'm so pumped! The South Weber stake covers all of South Weber, and Elders have not served there in years! It's been sisters and senior couples. So, to say I'm excited is an understatement. Because we will be covering such a large area, they're giving us a new car and we don't have to share anymore! It's all ours. I'm also still the district leader, and our district got even bigger! We now have all the senior couples and missionaries who cover Morgan County. So this should be fun.

I'm excited to see how many people God is preparing in this new area. As my grandpa always says, I'm going to try and be a Firey Finisher and work the hardest I possibly can this last 6 weeks. I know with a certainty that as we work as hard as we can, the Lord will make up the difference. I can't look back now!

Chloe was supposed to be baptized this Saturday, but her mom got really sick and they had to reschedule :( So we hope she gets better this coming week!

Emily is still solid to be baptized this Saturday! We are so excited and have almost everything ready for it already. We're so excited for her and her decision to follow the Savior!

That's about all I got this week. I love you all!

P.S. Missionary email is changing, my new email address is: tyler.greer@missionary.org

God 👍, Satan 👎

Hey everyone!

This week was really good! A lot better than last week. We had a lot more lessons, we found a lot more people to teach, and some of the people we are already teaching are starting to progress. God's team always wins! I've noticed that the more obedient we are in keeping the commandments and the white handbook, God will deliver! It reminded me of a scripture found in Alma 50:22:

"And those who were faithful in keeping the commandments of the Lord were delivered at all times, whilst thousands of their wicked brethren have been consigned to bondage, or to perish by the sword, or to dwindle in unbelief, and mingle with the Lamanites."

As we do the small and simple things, God will ALWAYS deliver his people. I can testify of that, because I have been able to see it with myself, and with others as they grasp onto the gospel of Jesus Christ. I've been able to see those my brethren, be freed from bondage as they repent and change. It's possible for all of us!

So Chloe is still solid and ready to be baptized this Saturday. It should be awesome! We also found a new kid this week to teach named Jason. He's from a part member family, and his 2 older brothers have served missions. He never really had an interest to come to church with his brothers before, or to learn more, but he's willing to now! We had a lesson on Sunday with him, and he came to church! We got to know him, and realized how much God has been preparing him for the gospel. He's almost 12, but he's super smart for his age. His heart is pulling him to learn about Jesus Christ and why we follow him. We invited him to come watch Chloe's baptism and he said he's interested, so hopefully we can get him there!

We also found a family that just moved into our area. There's 3 non members in the household, and one of the sons was just recently baptized a couple months ago. His sister, brother, and dad are still non members but are open to us coming to teach them!

We also met this girl named Emily, who just turned 9 years old that wants to learn about the restored gospel. Both her parents are members, and they come quite frequently. Emily doesn't know a whole lot about baptism and so we asked if we could teach her, and she seemed super excited about it. Good things are coming for that family!

A couple other cool things happened this week, but just some regular stuff. I went on exchanges with Elder Murphy and that was pretty fun. He's from New Zealand and has a dope accent 😂. Also, Elder Staley had a birthday this week, so we celebrated and went out to Baskin Robin's and got some milkshakes.  When a lady there found out it was his birthday, she bought all of our drinks, so that was super fun!

We're still meeting with Abraham and Daniel on a weekly basis. Daniel comes to church with his wife every week, and Abraham comes every other weekend when he's with his mom. They're both starting to enjoy it a lot. Anyway, that's about all I got this week. Love you all, talk to you next week!
