Last P-day in the MTC

So, this email will most likely be very short because every day has kinda been the same thing over and over again, but I'll give the highlights of each day like last week.

Friday was a pretty awesome day. We taught our TRC's again and we're really trying to crack our investigator Kai because he just wasn't grasping things and had so many questions like if God's real or not. During our lesson, we were talking about prayer and I had a prompting to bear my testimony on prayer but I didn't at first because my companions were already on a good track. Kai stopped my companions and looked at me and said, "what are you thinking" and at that point I knew exactly what I needed to do. After bearing my testimony Kai sat in silence for a second and then said, "let's try it". My companions and I were in shock that he wanted to pray right then and there. We all got on our knees and Kai gave one the most sincere, heartfelt, but simple prayers I've ever heard. The spirit was so strong. After the prayer, we sat there on our knees just waiting for Kai to speak. He says "I feel it. It's nothing huge but I feel good". Seriously was such a huge faith builder. We had almost given up on him, but his desire to know and his faith was able to lead him to feeling Heavenly Father's love for him.

Saturday was just lots of class and I honestly don't remember a thing. Not a bad day, just very repetitive from every other day.

Sunday was another amazing but also sad day. My companion Elder Allsop and I taught priesthood and it went pretty well. Our topic was obedience, which is really easy being a missionary. Our branch president told us it was one of the best lessons he's heard from missionaries so that's pretty cool. We later went to sacrament meeting and got to walk to the temple which is always amazing. Later that night we had to say goodbye to all the other elders in our district because they left Monday morning really early. Elder Christensen, Geisel, Moran, and Eaton. All super great guys, will definitely make amazing missionaries.

Monday was just like Saturday, nothing special happened. We got our new investigators and taught them once, but didn't go too great haha (lack of planning). We learned from it though, so we know how to address the lesson better next time.

Tuesday night devotional was amazing. Elder Zwick of the seventy and his wife came to speak to us. Elder Zwick's talk was on building the kingdom of God, or basically missionary work. He said something that really stood out to me. He said "You're not perfect, but you're good enough. If you labor with all your heart, might, mind and strength, He will consecrate the rest." I often doubt myself and my capability, but I've been learning that through faith in Christ and the Holy ghost, I will be guided.

Wednesday was just like the other days. During gym time, we played some super competitive volleyball and it was so fun. They're finally putting my record up on the board tomorrow! I'll try to send a picture of it tomorrow, but they might not put it in until later. If so, I'll send the next week!

This week has been much better than last week, and I'm beginning to enjoy my stay here a lot more each and every day. My companions and I are getting along well, and the new district of elders that came last week are super chill. This one Elder especially reminds me so much of Tanner. His name is Elder Strong, and I can already tell we'll be good friends for a long time. Again, I've learned so much and I wish everyone back home the best! Everyone enjoy your week and feel free to email me, seriously. I leave the MTC at 7:50am Tuesday morning, and will be getting on the frontrunner to Ogden and will be arriving around 11. Super excited for that! Anyway, love you all!

Love,
Elder Greer
